Chinese officials have finally permitted WHO experts to travel to the country in order to investigate the origins of the coronavirus pandemic. This has increased the pressure on China to fully co-operate with the authorities to get to the bottom of the origins of the outbreak.
A study published last week suggests that COVID patients should wait at least seven days after the relief of symptoms before performing exercise. The study suggests that patients risk cardiac events, respiratory illnesses and psychosis.
Long term health consequences of COVID patients remain largely unclear, according to a 6 month study conducted in China. Following around 2,000 ex-patients who suffered from acute infection, around 63% suffered ongoing fatigue and muscle weakness, and 26% continued to suffer sleeping difficulties. Other symptoms were much less common.
What about the implications for Landlords and the movement to work from home in the U.K?
British Land, one of the UK’s largest commercial landlords, collected less than half the rent due from retailers on its estate last quarter. Office collections were 95%, but retail was just 46% for the December quarter. It has now collected 72% of September (Q3) retail rent, 73% of June (Q2) and 49% of March (Q1).

Russia will trial a new single-shot vaccine that its developers believe could be used to meet export demand. State-run Gamaleya Institute, which developed the country’s flagship two-dose Sputnik V vaccine, has begun trials on 150 people to test the efficacy of administering just one shot, dubbed “Sputnik Lite”.
The EU has approved the Moderna vaccine for widespread immunisation. “With the Moderna vaccine, the second one now authorised in the EU, we will have a further 160 million doses. And more vaccines will come,” von der Leyen said in a statement.
Signs of recovery from around the world, not as quick as we expected.
